  • Mandy Parsons, Chief Executive Officer

    Mandy Parsons is a highly accomplished and results-driven executive with over 22 years of experience shaping the success of various nonprofit organizations and private entities. As the new President and CEO of Boys and Girls Club of the Lowcountry, Mandy brings a wealth of expertise in strategic planning, leadership, and financial management to her role. Her visionary leadership and cross-functional team management have consistently led to improved financial and team performance, program enhancements, and successful fundraising initiatives.

    Throughout her distinguished career, Mandy has been recognized for her ability to drive organizational growth, enhance cultures, and execute transformative changes. Prior to joining the Boys and Girls Club of the Lowcountry, Mandy served as the Interim CEO, COO, and CFO at United Way of the Coastal Empire. In this role, she spearheaded strategic planning initiatives, streamlined operational processes, and diversified revenue streams, significantly improving the organization's financial health and operational efficiency. Her collaborative approach and strong relationship-building skills have been instrumental in aligning organizational missions with community expectations and strengthening the organization's image.

    Outside of her professional endeavors, Mandy is an active volunteer and community member. Her newest service includes joining the Savannah Book Festival board, which aligns perfectly with her favorite hobby of reading. In her personal time, she enjoys reading, spending time at the beach with her family, watching Kentucky basketball, and simply hanging out in the yard with her dog. Mandy is excited to leverage her expertise to drive innovation, achieve impactful results, and contribute to the growth and development of the community she calls home.

  • DeLauren Brown, Chief Operations Officer

    DeLauren is currently the Chief Operating Officer for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry. She is a native of Georgia and graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s in Sociology and a minor in Criminal Justice. She has more than 13 years in the Boys & Girls Club movement and has enjoyed every role she held. From Youth Development Professional to Area Director, DeLauren has built and led diverse teams, collaborated with local and state governments and partnered with community organizations to achieve outcomes and improve the lives of young people. In this current role, DeLauren will oversee all direct service models for the organization including quality of programs, relationships with community stakeholders and the implementation of the organization’s long-term growth plans. DeLauren has a strong passion for serving others and is honored to be a part of an organization that is making such a difference in the Lowcountry.

  • Angie Evangelista

    Angie Evangelista, Accounting/HR Administrator

    Angie is the Accounting/HR Administrator of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Major in Mass Communications from the University of Saint La Salle, Bacolod, Philippines. Angie has over 20 years of professional experience in the Hospitality Industry which includes, Hotel operations, Customer Service, Sales & Event Management, Accounting, Human Resources and Payroll.

    Angie is responsible for the overall management of the office including human resources, payroll, employee benefits, and overall accounting management. She is all the accounts payable of the organization.

  • Molly Hornbeak, Resource Development

    Molly is the Director of Resource Development for the Bluffton Club. She has been with the Boys & Girls Club for 26 years and watched over 6,000 youth come through its doors. During her time, she has witness tremendous change and transformation. As she says, she witnessed the Club go from “rags to riches as we relocated from 11 dilapidated mobile home trailers to a multi-million dollar facility with state-of-the-art technology and more!”

    Molly was previously with the Hertz Corporation, a manager of her own night Club, and served as a manager for a fire/water restoration company and medical center. It wasn’t until her position with Cradle-N-All and Planned Parenthood that her passion to counsel youth and teens really came into light.

    Molly was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. After graduating from high school, I attended Oklahoma University, Metro Technical College, and Central State University, majoring in Accounting and Business.

    Molly is an advocate for all Club members that she calls “BabyBoys” and “BabyGirls. She is thankful for all the angels sent to assist us in our mission. Molly is blessed with her family. She has a son and grand-daughter and a daughter and her husband and 2 more granddaughters that she cherishes deeply.

  • Kim Sullivan

    Kimberly Sullivan: Resource Development

    Kimberly is currently Resource Development for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry in Northern Beaufort County and Jasper. She is responsible for developing and implementing plans that provide the organization the necessary resources to achieve strategic goals. Kimberly works directly in the area of grant writing, fundraising and donor cultivation, management of development staff and interns, implementation of best practices and directing individual and institutional giving.

    Kimberly works closely with individuals and companies, workplace campaign coordinators, campaign chairs and committees, state and local officials and volunteers to develop necessary and desired relationships and resources for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry.

  • Shelley Hammond, Resource Development

    Shelley is the Director of Resource Development for the Hilton Head Club. Originally from Chicago, Shelley holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and public relations, and an MBA from Roosevelt University. She is a dedicated Non-profit professional with 24 years of experience with national and international Nonprofits. Her primary role is development and fundraising for the club including event management, community development and ensuring all members have the resources needed to implement programs, and create opportunities for all members.

    Shelley and her husband Jim moved to the Lowcountry as empty nesters, and are navigating all it entails. They have 3 daughters and a son-in-law.

  • Pam Castle

    Pam Castle, director of community and program development

    Pamela is currently Director of Community and Program Engagement with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Major in Psychology from the University of South Carolina Beaufort. Pamela has been with the Boys & Girls Clubs organization for over six years. Pamela is responsible for developing relationships with volunteers and community organizations, along with overseeing the engagement of school partnerships, providing direction and support for the development of services to our members and staff development/training.

  • Jaala Miller, Bluffton Unit Director

    Jaala Miller was raised in the Lowcountry and with over 25 years in the BGC movement through being a Youth Development Professional, Teen Director, Program Director and currently the Unit Director, it is Jaala's passion to serve the youth in her community. Jaala is responsible for building the Professional Youth Developers who impact the lives of the club members and ensure that the 3 priority outcomes (Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles and Good Character and Citizenship) are met through the club programs. Jaala has a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Major in Liberal Studies from the University of South Carolina and has a double Master's degree in Education and Organizational Management from Ashford University.

  • Ryan Wise, Unit Director for the Hilton Head Island Club

    Originally from West Virginia, Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in Higher Education from Mercer University. He’s a former college basketball coach! During his previous role as Assistant Unit Director he increased membership, started a workforce readiness program for teens, created community partnerships and improved the culture within the Club. His primary role is overseeing the operations of the club –including facilities management, program implementation and execution, coordinating with external groups, and supervising the staff. Ryan knows it takes a village to help each club member achieve success and he works diligently to build his team up to support the Club.

  • Beth Griffiths, CFRE, Resource Development Administrator

    Beth brings a wealth of experience to her role as Resource Development Administrator. Her career spans several industries including advertising agencies, shopping centers, Independent schools and nonprofits before serving on the team at Boys & Girls Club of the Lowcountry. Beth earned the prestigious Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) designation in 2012. She has a BS in Business Administration from the University of Florida and was tapped into the student leadership honor society, Florida Blue Key. Beth is married to a proper British chap named Pete. As empty nesters, they enjoy home remodeling projects, playing mixed doubles tennis and learning to play bridge. They have an adult daughter, son-in-love and 4 precious grandkids (2 girls and 2 boys).
